Samantha Herrmann – Recipient of the 2013 CLSE Outstanding TA Award

The Center for Life Sciences Education is pleased to name Samantha Herrmann as the 2013 recipient of the CLSE Outstanding TA Award. This year, we were astounded to have 40 TAs be nominated by their students or course coordinators. This is a reflection of the wonderful work CLSE TAs do on a daily basis. It is also an indication of the tough competition for this award.

Sam Herrmann is a wonderful example of what we encourage in our TAs. She has demonstrated innovative thought, creative solutions, and unique efforts with the goal of improving student learning. In addition, she has contributed to more effective or efficient operations within CLSE, made a positive impact on other TAs, and sustained outstanding teaching and service over a substantial period of time. Congratulations Sam! We look forward to your continued contributions in biology teaching.
